#75: good thing they’re not using video chat i guess

A modern aircon is far removed from the ancient, clunky boxes that were the air conditioning units of yesteryear. Takako’s aircon is one of the marvels of modern consumer thaumaturgy, using the basic ideas of hydromancy and weather control pioneered by the Desert Reclamation Authority’s tireless efforts to transform the Redland Desert into arable farmlands, but on a scale that is both safe and convenient in a home and easily usable by somebody who, like Takako, has absolutely no magical aptitude whatsoever.

And yet those sweltering, humid days of June in Harbourton are still completely unbearable. Go figure.

(This is the “Moday” comic. Yes, I know it is Thursday. I’m horrible D: )

June 18th, 2008

Okay, trying to get two comics done in weeks where I was busy all weekend was pretty dumb, as I can’t draw a comic without having time to draw a comic. Fortunately, that’s not the case any more! I should be back on track for Friday.

Apologies for all of the missed/late updates over the past couple of weeks.

June 8th, 2008

I’m going to have to skip another update. This week, the stars of my schedule aligned and I didn’t have any time to work on the page. Having just learned the hard way that it is a bad idea to try to ink a comic on four hours of sleep, I’m going to have to throw in the towel on this one. :( While next week is still a bit hectic, it’s not as bad as this one was, so I’ll try to get both pages out on time.

April 16th, 2008

I had an assignment sprung on me on very short notice, and these flashback pages take much longer to draw than normal pages, so as you can perhaps see the Monday page is rather late. :V The ETA for this getting done is Wednesday evening, with the Friday comic probably going up late Friday morning or afternoon, and the first proper page of Chapter Two going up right on time on Monday. Sorry about this– I always feel pretty bad when the comic’s really late like this. :(

The RSS feed for this comic is now syndicated over livejournal, if that’s how you like to keep track of things.

New Features

March 29th, 2008

The cast page is now finished! I might as well point out some of the other new features of this new set-up as well. Each individual strip has now been tagged with the characters and places featured in it, making it easier to track down appearances from a certain character, or all of the pages that take place in Ilthmir, or whatever. Also, the Archives page now displays the titles and numbers of pages, instead of just the date. An About page is coming up soon, and I hope to eventually get our poor, spam-beset wiki back up again, too. Be sure to let me know if something’s not working right, or if you have any other suggestions!
